Midgar
Midgar is divided into sectors with mako reactors. each sector used to have a name, but no one remebers them. midgar is the capital city of the world and the home of shinra's hell house.

Kalm Town
Kalm is a litte ways north of midgar. it's a small city with a pub, some shops and an inn.

Chocobo Ranch
The chocobo ranch is right in front of the mythril mines. It's a small place where you can rest and learn about chocobo's. revisit this spot during disk 2 to get the buzz on chocobo's and try to raise your own!

Fort Condor
Here is a struggling group of people who are fighting for their proud staning condor. you defend it in disk 2 and get a huge materia and a phoenix materia.

Junon
Junon is a town for shopping and ect! here, you disguise yourself as a shinra soldier and try to make rufus be happy. ^^;

Costa Del Sol
Here's where you can scope out prof. hojo's many (female) admirers and where you can shop and get some items form prez. shinra's beach house!

North Corel
Once a mining town, north corel was set on fire by shinra cause they thought the people of north corel created an explosion at the mako reactor. this is barret's hometown.

Gold Saucer
SPEND SPEND SPEND! participate in games and chocobo races and have fun! but there's a catch - 3,000 for a one day pass.. 30,000 for an unlimited pass.

Gongaga
At first, I never knew you were supposed to fight Reno & Rude here. Oops. Here's where you can learn about Aeris's old boyfriend, Zack, also a first class soldier.

Cosmo Canyon
Red13's home where you fight the Gi Nattack and where Red finds out the truth about his father, Seto.

Rocket Town
Rocket Town's known for it's huge rocket! this is where you can meet cid, shera, and catch up on old times with the shinra bunch.

Wutai
This part of the game is completely optional. But if you have yuffie, go ahead and go. yuffie takes your materia and you have to fight don corneo's rapps pet and you can choose to fight yuffie's 5 relatives or not, you might wanna do that when yuffie's stronger. ps - it's the only way to get the leviathan summon.

Temple of the Ancients
After getting the keystone, you should be able to come here. you go through and discover spehiroth and he tells you his plans of destroying the world with meteor.

Bone Village
In bone village, you search for the Lunar Harp, which enables you to go though the sleeping forrest to the city of the ancients.

City of the Ancients
Here, you can rest and collect items and materia. this is where Disk 1 comes to a trama of an end with a fight with Jenova.
