Needless to say, Mazokus are a bit of an unusual bunch. They tend to feed of the negative emotions of humans, but they do not always feed of pain. This whole thing of them loving pain is BULL! As we see quite often, Xelloss experiences discomfort in response to pain. Nu, they don't cry, scream, etc like the way humans or ryuuzokus would. But Higher Demons seam to be prone to the more, human like emotions. Mainly those who are priest and or generals under one of the dark lords. The beasts of darkness that were born from Ruby Eye Shaburanigdu, Demon King of the world. A totally alien race to not only humans, but all other races. They have far superior magic. The way they're born to the way they think, and even what they eat (Xelloss and Sherra who were in the form of humans ate, but it is highly unlikely that the food was digested) are different.

 

(pic)The Mazoku (and presumably, everything ELSE in the Slayers World) are ruled by the Lord of Nightmares. The two most powerful spells, the Giga Slave and Laguna Blade derive their power directly from this Lord of Nightmares. The Lord of Nightmares has no tangible form to call its own - it is more like an amorphous 'lagoon' in its natural state. However, it does tend to take on different forms from time to time as need be. Her personality is quite insane, literally.

In the LoN novel series, Lucifer(which is her real name) quite often gets POed at Shabby-chan(as Luna/ceiphied calls him ^_^), him always seemingly able to say something really dumb, and she just beats him up with her bear hands >D isn't she sugoi?!?! And she carriers around a shovel and lithe, I don't know what's up with the shovel, but the lithe is suppose to represent death... hmm maybe the shovel to represent her insanity? o.O   any way. In Greek mythology, every thing was born of chaos...

^___________^ This describes her perfectly! and I am not kidding. o.o;; this lady scares me! but any way, she is kewl! Oh and on more thing, may people have gotten into arguments over just what colour of eyes she has, GOLD! Flat and out Gold! Let's look at Lina Inverse, who we all should know by know is her knight! Lina's hair is red(well it's orange, but it's suppose to be red e.e), LoN is always being described as gold, so it's like DUH, her eyes are gold!.. score one for the colour gold!.. now.. on to the rest of the -happy-family- e.e

He is sole source of misery and negative emotions in the Slayers world, Ruby-Eye Shabranigdu is the superior of all other Mazoku. The sole source of misery and negative emotions in the Slayers world, Ruby-Eye Shabranigdu is the superior of all other Mazoku. Defeated long ago by the Dragon King Ceiphied, Ruby-Eye was split into seven parts and scattered across the plane. A thousand years ago, one of these parts was resurrected by the Demon King of the North, but was defeated again by Ceiphied (again u.u) with the help of the Sea Dragon King Aqua. When Ruby-Eye awoke again, sealed within the eyes of the Aka Hoshi Rezo, Lina Inverse was there to defeat him. Ruby-Eye's followers still attempt to resurrect him whenever they can, but with Lina around, it might be a while... ^___________^  I don't really hate him as much as I did before I got my hands on the LoN novels >D needless to say, after reading about him when he's around Lucifer, you tend to think differently about the BIG BAD MONSTER! :: pinches shabby's cheeks :: any way, he's a big pain in the ass, but a kewl dude. Now on to the people you probably came to this little hell to read about. His singing Dark Lords! x.x okay, so they don't sing, unless you count Zelas when she's drunk e.e

 

 

 

Chaos Dragon Gaav

The first of the mazoku dark lords we get to meet in the anime, and manga for that matter. Gaav turns out to be an interesting character. Gaav fought against the holy dragons in the War of the Monster's Resurrection 1,000 years ago. During his duel with the Water Dragon he was killed. Gaav's soul then reappeared in a human body. As a result of this he now rebels against Shabranigdu because of his treatment. Chaos-Dragon Gaav is a brash, headstrong fighter of a god. Ruthless and rude, he always carries a sword with him and has a contemptuous laugh. He was the one who changed Valgarv into a chimeric demon-dragon half breed, and seeks the death of Lina Inverse. One of the five subordinates to Ruby-Eye Shabranigdu, he attempted to revolt against the Demon-King of the North. Some time ago, but later found his death at the hands of Hellmaster Fibrizo. He possesses the ability to morph into a dragon. Gaav is the creator of the black magic spell "Gaav Flare" and whenever it is cast his power is tapped into. So needless to say, ya can't use it any longer.. wahh!! and it was such a kewl spell too ;.;

 

Hell Master Phibrizo

Info: The Hellmaster is very powerful and is the leader of the 5 (He's also the strongest). Phibrizo, though he looks like a small boy, is actually a very fearsome foe. He commands power over the spirits of the dead, and can take those of the living with the snap of a finger (o.o do you think him and Meioh Setsuna from BSSM might be brothers? ^___^ Dead Scream!). Slaughtered the entire town of Sairaag for his own personal experiment. In an attempt to get Lina to cast the Giga-Slave, only because he wanted the world to be destroyed, which eventually ended in the Hellmaster's demise. His priest and general were killed in the War of the Monster's Resurrection 1,000 years ago. He shows up in Slayers NEXT doing everything in his power to get Lina to cast the Giga Slave. Needless to say, I don't think Lucifer likes him. ^____^ and really? who ever Lon doesn't like, I don't like. :: like to stay alive :: Although he seams to be a pretty sugoi little boy, erm... Mazoku...    o.O

 

 

Supreme King, Dynast Grausherra

Hardly anything is known about Dynast. He has black hair and likes to take the form of a young man no older then Zelgadiss. His general is Sherra, a young blue haired girl she came in in the novels but was killed off. He also has two priests under him named Grau and Grou. Dynast lives in the north pole, and is rumored to be the smartest and most ruthless of the Dark generals. His mazoku form is a big shadowy blob. Dynast himself hasn't appeared in the novels yet only his servants he's supposed to be very cold and dignified. Oh and, he's the hot babe in the manga picture up there, ya know the one with the black-ish hair next to Phibby and DsD!

 

 

Deep Sea Dolphin

Not much is known about her except she's female, resides in the Demon Sea, and has blue hair. Falling into favoritism with the Lord of Nightmares, Deep sea soon found her self with the ability to see into the future as a gift. This 'gift' was the cause and reason for her well known insanity. Zelas also as a spiteful heart towards her, I think it's jealousy. An other thing, with the whole sea thing, it makes perfect sense why DsD feel into favoritism with LoN. Tee-hee! It seams to be that anything LoN likes is insane :D
